Overview

Mr. Lemens joined Germer’s Houston office as a Senior Trial Counsel in July 2026 and works in the firm’s robust insurance-defense practice (both first-party property and third-party injury). He earned his J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law, where he also earned his undergraduate business and Plan II (liberal arts) honors degrees. While in law school, he competed in the Giles Southerland Rich Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition, winning the Texas regional championship in 2017 and 2018 and taking second place at the national finals in 2018. His briefing experience and broad background knowledge allows him to predict and preempt problems in litigation and guide his cases to a favorable resolution.

Mr. Lemens practices in the areas of first-party insurance coverage disputes, third-party personal-injury defense, intellectual-property and trade secret litigation, and business contractual disputes.
