Overview

Dylan Bass joined Germer’s Houston office as an attorney in 2025. Dylan earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law and his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University. He is also a former baseball player for Texas A&M University – Kingsville. During law school, Dylan competed in moot court and was awarded Second Place for Best Brief for Petitioner in the University of San Diego School of Law National Criminal Procedure Tournament. He also received the CALI Award (highest grade) in Torts I and was a member in multiple student organizations including the Oil & Gas Law Society, Houston Young Lawyers Association, and Phi Delta Phi.

Dylan represents clients in all aspects of litigation in both state and federal court. His primary practice areas are complex commercial litigation, construction, insurance coverage disputes, business disputes, professional liability and malpractice, fiduciary litigation, premises liability, and various other civil disputes.

Representative Experience

  • Obtained multiple summary judgments for insurance brokers in cases involving claims of professional negligence, fraud, violations of the Texas Insurance Code, and violations of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act.
  • Submitted briefing to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in case for a national collection agency resulting in an affirmance of the trial court’s dismissal with prejudice.
  • Obtained Rule 12(b)(6) dismissal for an apartment complex in a declaratory judgment action.
  • Secured a favorable judgment for a national contractor following a one-day bench trial in a breach of contract case.
