Eric A. Hudson

Overview

Eric A. Hudson is Senior Trial Counsel in Germer’s Austin office. Eric focuses on constitutional and civil rights claims both at the trial and appellate levels. He has also frequently been called upon to analyze issues related to complex and class litigation. Over the last seven years, Eric has tried several cases before federal district courts throughout Texas and briefed and argued numerous cases before the US courts of appeals and Texas’ intermediate appellate courts. His cases have run the spectrum of legal issues, including those involving administrative, constitutional, federal programs, and employment, as well as those raising complex class and sovereign immunity issues.

Professional background

Before joining Germer, Eric served as an assistant attorney general in the Office of the Texas Attorney General, finishing his service in its Special Litigation Unit, where he represented the State of Texas in high profile litigation and advised senior state officials on critical legal issues. Prior to his work for the Office of the Texas Attorney General, Eric served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Texas.
