Howell Cobb, III, senior trial counsel with the firm, is Board Certified in both Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. An experienced trial lawyer, he has concentrated his practice in recent years to the defense of toxic torts, premises liability, and products liability matters. He received his undergraduate education at the University of Virginia where he graduated in 1976 and was invited to join Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1979. He is a member in the Texas Bar Association, Jefferson County Bar Association, American Board of Trial Advocates since 1995, and a former member of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, International Association of Defense Counsel. He joined Germer Gertz, L.L.P. in November, 2003. He has been licensed in Texas since 1979. He has been admitted to the U. S. District Court, Western and Eastern Districts of Texas, Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U. S. Supreme Court. Chip was named a Texas Super Lawyer in 2007 as published in Texas Monthly.
