T. Phillip Brent is a native of Southeast Texas. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1998 from The University of Texas at Austin. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2001. While in law school, Phillip was published in and served as the Lead Articles Editor for the Texas Tech Journal of Texas Administrative Law and was also a member of Phi Delta Phi. He was admitted to the Texas bar in 2001 and was admitted to the Mississippi bar in 2003. Phillip is admitted to practice before all state courts in Texas and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. He is also admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Mississippi and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Phillip is currently a member of the State Bar of Texas, State Bar of Mississippi, American Bar Association, Texas Association of Defense Counsel, Jefferson County Bar Association, Mickey Mehaffy American Inns of Court, Jefferson County Young Lawyers Association (Board Member 2004-2006), Jefferson County Young Men's Business League and a volunteer on the Board of Directors of the Mobil Oil Federal Credit Union.
